Share your story

Have you experienced something on a dating service that others should know about – a scam attempt, a fake profile, a data leak or a service that did not respond? Tell us. Your experience can help others date more safely.

How it works

  • Send your story to stories@facedate.com.
  • Tell us which service it happened on, roughly when, and what happened.
  • If you can, include documentation, such as screenshots of the profile, messages or emails from the service.

What we publish

  • We only publish stories we have been able to verify.
  • We always anonymise and edit before publishing. We never publish your name or anything that can identify you.
  • We never publish names or identifying details of other people, including the person you are writing about.
  • We only publish with your consent, and you will see the text before it goes online.

Stories never affect a service's score. Scores are based only on documented sources, as described in our methodology. Our methodology

Please do not send

  • Health information, sexual details, ID numbers, passwords or bank details.
  • Stories about minors.

If you are in danger or have been the victim of a crime, contact the local police first. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
